After spending five memorable nights near Utah Beach, we’ve now made our way to Rouen.

The morning was marked by steady rain, but after lunch, we set out on a cycling trip to Sainte-Mère-Église, just in time to catch the opening of a fascinating WWII Army display. Fortunately, we made it back before the rain returned.

We arrived in Cherbourg on time. After a stop to stock up on supplies at the hyper market on the outskirts of Cherbourg we arrived at our camping site at 2pm.

We departed Newtownabbey around lunchtime, setting off for Dublin to board the overnight ferry to Cherbourg. The drive through Belfast and onto the motorway was smooth and uneventful.
